I know that quarantine has ripped our traditional fashion values right from underneath most of us. We dress super well, normally to be seen dressed super well. Quarantine has helped me to realize the true fashionista budding in myself that wants to be quarantine chic at home, for herself. This outfit, is not an example of that. I wore this outfit specifically because I knew someone else would see it. It is worth mentioning though that a tiny part of me is learning more and more to dress so I can flex for myself in the mirror.
Happy Friday!
It’s Blogmas Day 4, and Friday! For our Friday’s we’ll be doing Fashion Friday’s. I’ve always had a soft spot for fashion. Is it my main thing? No. Am I especially talented at putting together outfits? Not yet. Can I piece something together? Absolutely. This outfit is brought to you by Quarantine J, and her husband who encouraged her to choose a full priced item from Target. *For the record, I closed my eyes during the checkout process.* I can’t bring myself to purchase full priced clothing at Target. Not when they have stacks of perfectly good clearance items right next to the expensive stuff! Thank you mom for the thrifty side of me, and if you’re reading this… Jake made me do it- and yes I will get my money’s worth. It may become a scarf before it’s ever disposed of.
Despite the full $22.00 that we spent on this slip dress. This has to be one of the most comfy outfits I have ever worn. I wore this on a Sunday run to Costco and pulled out several stops because I knew my skin would see the light of day for the first time in a while. I wore very light makeup. I went with light definition for my brows, my absolute favorite Maybelline Great Lash Mascara, and a Revlon Gloss that no one could see. We got this extremely cute *not good for cold weather* leopard print slip dress for way too much money at Target, and I commandeered my husband’s oversized turtleneck that he still believes is his. We decided to do the shoot indoors this time because I could only truly handle the the cold to walk from the parking lot to the building and from the building to the car in this outfit.
We were going for Quarantine Chic. I think, we nailed it. What do you think?
